Dragonfly

Dragonflies were commonly used in 'art noveau' designs, and were introduced into the Wemyss Ware^® range in the early twentieth century by Edwin Sandland, the successor of Karel Nekola as head designer.  These beautifully painted insects, with iridescent wings, are depicted flying over the water from which they have emerged in this wonderful design.
