In Bohemia, Karel Nekola’s birthplace, the pig is a symbol of good luck and model pigs are exchanged at New Year.
Griselda Hill’s first acquaintance with a Wemyss® black and white pig was as a child in her grandmother’s drawing room in Dorset. At once charming and amusing, it sat with a patient, slightly worried, expression on the hearth.
We can make any size of pig into a ‘piggy bank’ on request. The sleeping piglets are often used as paperweights.
