Hand finished and hand painted in Ceres, Fife at the Griselda Hill Pottery since 1985. Fife is the birthplace of Wemyss\u003cspan\u003e® \u003c\/span\u003epottery in 1882. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Earlshall design is named after Earlshall Castle in Fife, which had an avenue of elms with rooks' nests. A strong, stylised design, it sometimes incorporates quotes from popular poems. This pattern was brought out in the early twentieth century.
